webcams in venice
Don't get confused by the web cams here: Venice is a city to dream of, but consider that too pinky shadows are only due to the lenses :-) From time to time these web cams may not work properly. At the moment of writing, they are ok and in good health, and they do refresh when they have to, normally every 60 seconds. A manual refresh (F5) may help if you see that the scene remains static for too long.
Locanda Sturion's webcam may show some problem with colours, but the view is fantastic: again the Grand Canal, near the Rialto bridge.

So... enjoy! We'll be pleased to hear from you about correct refreshing in your browser.

Grand Canal and Rialto view

Locanda Sturion's web cam - The Locanda, which offers us this fantastic Venice web cam view from one of its rooms, appears in a painting by Vittore Carpaccio, 'The Miracle of the Cross' (1494, Academy Gallery of Venice) (see below). Today it is a three-star hotel located in the city's historic centre, overlooking the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. The location is great, but remember there is no lift (like in most Venice's hotels), and not all rooms have a view on the canal. All rooms feature private bathrooms, telephones, satellite TVs, mini bars, safe-boxes, air conditioning and hairdryers, coffee/tea makers and complimentary cookies: click here to book a room
